June 11, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join The HERO Center on Facebook Live – in conversation with Barbara Bergren, author and daughter of a Holocaust survivor. Learn more about her new book, her experience learning about her family history, and the impact of Holocaust education on our community.

Join us as we speak to Barbara about her father’s experience during the Holocaust, the impact of this history on her growing up and today, and how she was inspired to write and share her father’s story.

About THe HERO Center
The HERO Center is a joint initiative between Voices of Hope and the Maurice Greenberg Center for Judaic Studies at the University of Hartford. Through the cooperation of all of these institutions, the HERO Center is able to connect students and educators with information about the Holocaust and other genocides, as well as facilitate conversations with Holocaust survivors and their families. Through museum tours, discussions on identity, empathy, rescue, refugees and antisemitism, students and educators are offered unique and meaningful experiences with the HERO Center. If you are an educator, a student, or anyone interested in learning more about the Holocaust, genocide, or how we attempt to combat intolerance and indifference, please get in touch at any time.
